Glaucoma is a widespread eye disease.
Around 70 million people worldwide have glaucoma.
Around half of them do not realise that they are affected.
In Switzerland, it is estimated that around 2.5% of all people over the age of 40 have glaucoma. The risk of developing glaucoma increases with age.
There are also certain risk factors that increase your likelihood of developing this disease.
